Hawk families,

November is a wonderful time of year to reflect on all that we are thankful for here at CSE. Our students have been working hard, continuing to grow both academically and socially. It’s truly rewarding to see their enthusiasm for learning and the supportive community that surrounds them.

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our teachers, staff, and families for your continued partnership. Your involvement—whether it’s volunteering, attending conferences, or supporting learning at home—makes a tremendous difference in our students’ success. I look forward to seeing some of you at our SAC and PTO meetings on Monday (11/3).

This month will be a quick one, but one that promises to focus on learning in each of our classrooms. Our teachers expertly weave their instruction with seasonal activities to keep students engaged.

If you are a veteran - thank you! We appreciate your service to our nation and your sacrifice. Many of our classes have had or will be having veterans visit to help our kids gain a deeper appreciation and understanding for all that veterans have done for our nation. Our fifth graders will also be visiting the Florida National Cemetery this week as they expand on their US history curriculum.

With the upcoming Thanksgiving break, I hope you all enjoy time with loved ones and take a moment to relax and recharge. We are so grateful to have such a caring and connected school community.

Parent Survey

Our 2025-2026 Citrus County Schools' Parent Survey is now open.
It is very important that we hear from all families with students enrolled at CSE. Your responses are anonymous and play a valuable part in improving our schools.
After you submit your survey, you will automatically leave the anonymous site and be taken to another site where you will be able to enter to win a prize. Lucky families will be notified on December 4th!
The survey closes on November 21st. Thank you in advance for your time in completing this.

Red Ribbon Week

This past week we focused on the importance of staying drug free. Our classes decorated their doors to spread this positive image. So many kids participated in our dress up days as they shared "Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free."

Title I News

Research continues to confirm that parents are a vital part of the educational process and of the educational experiences of their children. When school personnel and families work together, relationships are developed that support learning and children are provided an enhanced opportunity for success in school and throughout life. As a parent, you play an important role in your child’s education. We encourage parents to be involved as much as possible. Volunteering, mentoring, and attending parent conferences are all parent involvement activities. Gain information and be part of the decision making process by joining advisory committees at the school and district level.

Hawk Pledge

Our Hawk Pledge represents what we want our students doing each day to help them continue to grow as a learner and be a positive part of our school community.
